The province of Cadiz is by itself a Natural park, there are various protected areas from San Roque to Puerto de Santa María.
The Natural Park of the Straight of Gibraltar or Litoral Park is the first one to encounter moving from East to West. It starts in the municipality of Algeciras and extends until its borders between Barbate and Tarifa, more concrete, at the Faro de Punta Camarinal. It is the only marine and terrestrial park of the province.
On the other side we find the Natural Park of los Alcornocales, which is the authentic lung of the people of Cadiz. This park reaches via the following towns and villages Los barrios, Algeciras, Tarifa, Medina, Benalup, Castellar de la Frontera...
The Natural Park of La Breña and the swamps of Barbate, are two more parks of the area.
In the Natural parks of Cadiz, we encounter all kinds of birds, residents as well as migrates, as the Straights of Gibraltar is overflown by the transit birds between Africa and Europe. In the marine park we encounter diverent species of marine mammals.
