There are various excursions one can take from Puerto de Santa María to different parts of Cadiz province.

From the nearest to the furthest, we recommend that your start your visits with Cadiz, the capital of the province. It's wonderful cathedral and seafront promenade are just two of numerous sites mentioned, not to speak of its 142 different towers and its camera oscura in La Torre Elvira. In Cadiz, by the way, the oldest town in Europe, there are many restaurants, bars and coffe places where you can enjoy a savouring dish.
From Cadiz, you can go on to Jerez de la Frontera, where in spring the festival of the horses, one of the most important in the world, is held.
The Natural park of los Alcornocales is another visit, which should not be missed. Locations like Alcalá de los Gazules; Benalup; Cortes; Vejer; Castellar or Jimena de la Frontera are all nearby the park.
