The Moto GP in Jerez brings thousands of motor enthusiasts to El Puerto de Santa Maria year upon year. El Puerto welcomes a large part of the mass of fans that descend upon Cadiz Province in anticipation of one of the finests GPs in the world, held in spring at the motor circuit in Jerez de la Frontera.

The streets of the town are literally jam-packed during race weekend, from thursday through to monday, as fans who literally cannot fit in Jerez spill out into the surrounding towns and villages of the Cadiz region, all offering a stunning atmosphere for race-goers.

To get to El Puerto de Santa Maria in car you can take the Sevilla-Cadiz Motorway and the Sevilla-Cadiz train connection. One of the main advantages of staying in El Puerto are the fantastic beaches, wild nightlife and the glorious seafood.

The same Sevilla-Cadiz motorway will take you straight to the circuit from El Puerto, taking the Jerez-Norte-Circuito de Velocidad exit (km78.5). On the Friday, the training sessions begin, with the qualifying rounds on the saturday and the main event for all three disciplines on the sunday.

If you wish to situate yourself within El Puerto de Santa Maria for the race weekend, you can choose between Valdelagrana on El Puertos coastal stretch, or in the centre of the town, but regardless of the location it comes well-advised to book in advance as accommodation is difficult to find in the weeks leading up to the event.
